The expedition loop

Mystic Frontier is more than a dice calculator.

It is a Familiar expedition system built around preparation, AP management, branching events, dice checks, and delayed rewards. Each run asks you to balance immediate progress against the strength and resources your lineup will need in later rounds.

01

Build a three-card lineup

Combine Familiar rank, Element, Type, Action Points, and Mystic Frontier Potentials.

02

Choose an exploration event

Spend or recover AP while hunting, encounter, and lucky banners reveal different outcomes.

03

Beat the dice difficulty

Roll three Familiar dice, activate attributes, use limited rerolls, and meet the target value.

04

Send the expedition

Familiars continue exploring for 6–24 hours before returning with the rewards you uncovered.

Expedition encounters

Prepare for every stage of a Mystic Frontier run.

Build a three-Familiar lineup, choose events across five rounds, and use dice, attributes, rerolls, and expedition items to clear increasingly difficult checks.

Three-die difficulty checks

Three-die difficulty checks

Each Familiar contributes a die based on rank. Matching attributes, Potentials, items, and rerolls can change the final result.

Illustrated exploration events

About Maple Frontier

What is Mystic Frontier?

+

Mystic Frontier is a MapleStory Familiar expedition system introduced in GMS v.265. You build three-card lineups, choose expedition sites, resolve up to five interactive rounds, complete dice checks, and wait for Familiars to return with rewards.

How do Familiar dice work?

+

Common Familiars roll d3, Rare d4, Epic d5, and Unique or Legendary d6. Mystic Frontier Potentials and items can add flat dice values, multipliers, or conditional effects to the final result.

Does this site store my decks online?

+

No account is required. Deck Builder configurations are stored locally in your browser, so you can use the tools without sending your collection to Maple Frontier.

Is Maple Frontier affiliated with Nexon?

+

No. Maple Frontier is an independent fan-made companion. MapleStory names, images, and game content belong to Nexon.
