How Mystic Frontier Champions works

Prepare during Leveling Period

Build an event-eligible roster and look for useful Potential lines before that week’s competition opens.

Every card must be eligible

Each Familiar in the three-card lineup must match either the weekly Type or Element. Cards matching neither attribute cannot participate.

Familiar level does not affect scoring

A Familiar’s level does not change Champions match results. Prioritize eligibility, Potential lines, and the weekly effect instead.

Read the Competition Effect

The weekly effect is applied to both players’ dice, so it can change which potential lines are valuable.

Register, then battle automatically

Start an hourly round from :00 through :29. Registration closes at :30, and the match is processed automatically before results open.

Best-of-three matches

Matches are best of three. Results use the combined Familiar Potential values plus the Competition Effect.

10 wins or 4 losses

You begin with 4 lives and lose one after each match loss. The weekly run stops at 10 wins or 4 losses.

Review results and claim your box

Results can be confirmed from :35 each hour. Once the run ends, view the overall result and claim the Frontier Box for your win tier.

v.270 eligibility restriction

Only Familiars obtained after the v.270 update may participate. Pre-update Familiars in your existing collection are not valid Champions entries.

Register event Roro Familiars before the event ends

An eligible Roro Familiar registered before the event end receives an exclusive Mystic Frontier Potential when revealed. If registered after the event ends, it receives a normal Mystic Frontier Potential instead.

Event checklist

Practical priorities before competition

  • Start a new eligible roster with post-v.270 Familiars.
  • A practical starting lineup is three event-eligible Rare (blue) Familiars with usable Potential lines; do not delay a weekly run solely to force Epic or Unique upgrades.
  • Check both weekly eligible attributes before investing; each selected Familiar must match the required Type or Element.
  • Keep multiple attribute options because the restrictions and Competition Effect change each week.
  • Participate even with a weak roster—the 0–2 win tier still gives a box.
  • Spend Familiar Adventure tickets before reaching the 20-ticket inventory cap.
  • Open chests early in the event because cumulative chest count raises your Adventure Stage.
  • Register event Roro Familiars before September 8 at 23:59 UTC+0.
  • Recheck the weekly attributes before committing resources to a new lineup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can old Familiars enter Mystic Frontier Champions?

No. Only Familiars obtained after the v.270 update may participate in Champions. Build a separate event-ready roster instead of assuming your pre-patch cards are eligible.

When can I register for a Champions match?

During each Saturday and Sunday competition window in UTC+0, a round opens every hour. You can start the round during the first 30 minutes, from :00 through :29. Registration closes at :30, and the result can be confirmed from :35 onward.

Do I need ten wins to receive a weekly reward?

No. Even a 0–2 win result awards the Frontier Blue Box. Your weekly run ends when you reach 10 wins or lose all 4 lives, after which you can review the overall result and immediately claim the corresponding box.

Does a Familiar’s level affect Champions matches?

No. A Familiar’s level does not change Champions match scoring. Focus on event eligibility, useful Potential lines, and the weekly Competition Effect.

Do I need Epic or Unique Familiars to compete?

No. Three event-eligible Rare (blue) Familiars with usable Potential lines are a practical starting lineup. Do not delay participation solely to force Epic or Unique upgrades.

How many Familiar Adventure tickets can I obtain?

You can obtain 3 Frontier Tickets per eligible day, up to 5 times per week. You can hold no more than 20, and opening one chest consumes one ticket.

What are this week’s eligible attributes?

This week requires either Lightning element or Reptile type. Every Familiar in a three-card lineup must individually match at least one of those two attributes.

What are this week’s Competition Effects?

Each time a 2 or 5 is rolled, add +5 to the Final Total. The chance of rolling an odd number is doubled on every die.
