Three +3 Dice / 1.4x lines are the clean theoretical finish, but most players need useful decks long before that roll appears three times. This ranking shows which intermediate combinations are already close to perfect, which ones protect your floor, and what is actually worth replacing.

Do not wait for three perfect cards before treating a deck as good

The perfect baseline averages 81.30. Replacing one of those lines with +2 Dice / 1.6x still averages 81.00. That is less than one point behind the theoretical best.

Even three +2 Dice / 1.6x lines retain 96.9% of the best deck's average result. Those are not placeholder cards. They are strong long-term lines that can carry progression while you continue chasing a narrower upgrade.

How this ranking was calculated

This is not a ranking based on one maximum roll. Every combination uses three Unique-tier d6 cards, and all 216 equally likely dice combinations are enumerated. Each final result uses the same model as the site's Dice Calculator:

floor((die 1 + die 2 + die 3 + total flat dice) × active multiplier total)
  • Every listed Potential condition is assumed to be active.
  • No expedition dice items are included.
  • Active multipliers stack additively.
  • The final value is rounded down after multiplication.
  • Average result is the primary ranking metric; minimum and maximum results are shown separately.

This makes the table a clean baseline, not a universal answer for every expedition. Items, target numbers, and condition compatibility can change which deck is preferable in a specific run.

This line appears repeatedly near the top because its stronger multiplier scales well with the other cards' flat dice. It is especially attractive once expedition items add more dice before multiplication.

Stable bridge

+9 Dice with two +1 Dice / 1.8x lines

This combination averages 77.00 and never falls below 50 in the baseline—the same minimum as the best-average deck. Its ceiling is lower, but it is a real progression option rather than a failed endgame roll.

A practical upgrade path instead of an all-or-nothing chase

Stage 1: prioritize active conditions

A modest line that activates is better than a premium line whose condition your deck cannot satisfy. Early on, build a coherent lineup first and use the Deck Optimizer to check whether a candidate preserves the other two cards' conditions.

Stage 2: keep strong mixed lines

Keep +3 Dice / 1.4x, +2 Dice / 1.6x, and +1 Dice / 1.8x lines when their conditions fit. The ranking shows that mixed decks made from these three profiles occupy most of the top positions. You do not need three identical cards to be close to the best average.

Stage 3: decide whether you need floor or ceiling

Flat dice helps weak rolls and protects consistency. Stronger multipliers widen the range and scale better with items. If a route repeatedly asks for a target your deck barely reaches, compare exact win rates rather than replacing the lowest-ranked line by instinct.

Stage 4: replace only meaningful gaps

Moving from +2 Dice / 1.6x to +3 Dice / 1.4x can be a tiny baseline improvement. Replacing an inactive condition, a weak pure line, or a card that blocks the rest of the deck is usually a more important upgrade. Optimize the whole active lineup, not the appearance of one card.

Condition compatibility comes before the numeric ranking

The same stat profile can appear behind different Potential conditions. The table assumes the three chosen lines are all active, but not every set of condition texts can coexist.

  • All Same Element conflicts with All Different Elements.
  • All Same Type conflicts with All Different Types.
  • Same Element can coexist with either Same Type or Different Types.
  • Different Elements can coexist with either Same Type or Different Types.
  • “Contains” conditions are useful only when the required element or monster type remains somewhere in the active lineup.

Before using this ranking, confirm the exact condition in the Potential Database. A #1 stat line with a broken condition is not a #1 card.

Why average is not the only useful metric

Three +3 Dice / 1.4x lines have the best average and a strong floor. They do not have the highest maximum. Three +2 Dice / 1.6x lines peak at 115, compared with 113 for the best-average deck.

That does not make the +2 / 1.6x deck better overall. It means “best” must describe a goal. Average output, guaranteed floor, maximum reach, and chance to beat one exact target are different questions.

Why expedition items can reorder close combinations

The baseline deliberately excludes items so every card combination is compared under the same conditions. During a real run, extra flat dice is applied before multiplication. That can make a multiplier-heavy deck catch up or pull ahead.

  1. Confirm that the Potential condition is active in the final three-card lineup.
  2. Compare the complete deck, not the two stat lines in isolation.
  3. Treat +2 Dice / 1.6x and +1 Dice / 1.8x as serious long-term keeps, not automatic reroll targets.
  4. Keep a strong flat-dice bridge if it materially improves the minimum result you need.
  5. Check the exact target in the calculator before spending scarce progression resources for a small average gain.

This page ranks output after the lines have been obtained. It does not estimate the roll rate, number of hours required, or expected resource cost for any individual Potential. Those values are not present in the site's current source data, so attaching a precise acquisition time would create false certainty.

It also does not imply that every player should reroll toward the same three condition texts. Familiar availability and condition compatibility determine which version of a strong stat profile is actually usable on an account.
